Acrylic on Canvas

48 x 48 Handmade original on circular wooden panel with UV coating in satin

A visual poem in monochrome, this circular canvas invites you into the emotional terrain of a woman standing at the threshold of chaos and transformation. On the left, she emerges from intricate linework—her expression quiet yet alert, cloaked in ornate tattoos that echo dragons and serpents, symbols of ancient strength and personal mythology. Her crown is wild with horned headdress and tangled thoughts, as if woven from the brambles of lived experience.

The center of the face is marked by sorrow—grey water pours like tears from storm-heavy clouds above, the downpour severing past from present. Yet even within this tempest, a powerful stillness remains.

To the right, a large, sculptural wing breaks through the rain. It is a symbol of potential—freedom not yet taken, but waiting. Birds fly faintly in the distance, undeterred by the storm, a quiet promise that light always follows shadow, and flight is always possible—even in the midst of it all.

This painting explores the duality of vulnerability and resilience. It’s about what happens when we face the storm, not to be consumed by it, but to emerge more honest, more aware, and still full of flight.
